  五、課程目標:

     Students will be able to:

    1.use English properly to deal with different situations relevant to the students’ needs when they

        communicate with foreigners at work

    2.have self-confidence necessary to actively function in an English-speaking environment

    3.understand culture shocks and know how to deal with them effectively

    4.develop competences in vocabulary, grammar and functional language successfully to carry out

       communicative tasks in business world

 

六、課程概述:

  1. Use the real cases from real companies around the world to help students learn some effective

       reading comprehension strategies(ie: skimming/scanning, interpreting/referring, grasping the main

       ideas and outlining…). Special attention is given to developing such business skills as quickly

       gathering and interpreting data from a variety sources(photos, charts, interviews, press and business

       reports, colleagues.); using culturally appropriate negotiating strategies; leading and participating in

      effective business meetings, and making intelligent business decisions based on data, experiences,

      cultural sensitivity and common sense.

  2. use group-discussion, role-play, oral presentation etc. to help students learn to communicate in

      English like business managers and feel self-confident doing so.
